Patient Experience Specialist (Full-time)

Job Description:

Spero Rehab is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Patient Experience Specialist to join our team, with openings at both our Katy and Austin locations. The Patient Experience Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and administrative functions within our clinics. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and process insurance claims
  • Collect and record patient demographic and insurance information accurately
  • Handle patient inquiries, both in-person and over the phone, and provide necessary
  • information or assistance
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA
  • regulations
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Manage office supplies and maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a front desk or
  • administrative role
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Documents, Sheets, Gmail) and familiarity with electronic
  • medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

Rehab Technician (Part-time)

Job Description:

Spero Rehab is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Rehab Technician to join our team at both our Katy and Austin locations on a part-time basis. The Rehab Technician will provide valuable support to our clinical staff and assist in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients. This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in health sciences, kinesiology, or related fields who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist therapists with patient exercises, treatments, and modalities under their supervision
  • Set up and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
  • Escort patients to and from treatment rooms
  • Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment areas as needed
  • Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing patient documents
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment or recent graduate in health sciences, kinesiology, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent attention to detail
